Cajardo Lindsey is a passionate advocate for justice who truly believes in the power of giving a voice to his clients. With a wealth of courtroom experience, having participated in over 75 trials to verdict, Cajardo brings a seasoned understanding of the legal system to every case. His background as a retired District Court judge from Colorado’s 18th Judicial District has given him unique insights that enhance his perspective and practice as a litigator. Cajardo’s journey in the legal field began with a focus on insurance defense. However, it took only a short time for him to find resonating service as a prosecutor at the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Over the course of eight impactful years, he worked his way up to becoming a senior deputy district attorney, where he fought for justice in a wide range of cases, from first-degree murder to assaults and DUIs.
In recognition of his dedication and expertise, Cajardo was honored to be cross-deputized as a Special U.S. Attorney for the Front Range Drug Task Force. In this role, he collaborated closely with agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and multiple Colorado law enforcement agencies, all united in the mission to tackle organized drug-related crimes in the community. His commitment to justice and public safety has made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
Cajardo’s experience as a prosecutor broadened when he served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Denver. Throughout his tenure, he earned the respect of his colleagues, the courts, and even opposing counsel for his masterful oratory skills, deft negotiation, and, most notably, his unwavering integrity.
Cajardo shifted his justice and public safety mission from criminal prosecution to a civil personal injury practice where he and his partner routinely won six and seven-figure excess verdicts.
Before reentering the private sector, Governor Polis appointed Cajardo Lindsey to the bench, where Cajardo presided over civil matters, including domestic relations, protection orders, and contempt of court.
Cajardo graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration before earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. While attending law school, Cajardo was selected to clerk for the British Inns of Court in London, England, and later as a law clerk for the National Football League Management Council in New York City.
